Hello, I miss you

Work was a blast today! (Maybe cos the boss wasn't around hehe :D) I made a new friend - her name's Megan! She's so bubbly and funny she tickles my toes :) We played UNO when there weren't any orders. We were playing and laughing so much till this group of kids came to watch us and every time there was a customer we would put our cards down and run to the counter haha. I lost the first round and as a forfeit I had to go down to Makan Sutra to buy dinner for the two of them. Da:ns festival is now on at the esplanade! There was some break dancing going on at the waterfront.

Btw the New Paper New Face winner Miriam Wright is Jordan's girlfriend! Jordan is Helen's son. I've met her at the cafe a few times and I think she looks even prettier in person. Expected her to win and she really did :) $10,000 cash prize! Sometimes I really think girls who've got the looks can get anything. Yes so the cliche saying goes what matters is who you are on the inside but that isn't the case most of the times is it. At least I don't think so. Who you are inside isn't all that matters. So the world's a little cruel, what's new?

Anyways I lost 2nd round of UNO again and had to mop the kitchen. Poots. Customers were all nice today except for one girl she was a little rude but that's ok I'm glad I'm not like her :) And yup the 3 of us did gossip a little and shared a little bit more bout our lives to each other. Jim says I've grown taller and I look better brown haha. Meg says Helen talks to her bout me all the time and she was glad to finally meet me aww! :) Anyways I had a good time working with the 2 of them!

So we did a quick closing and a final game of UNO before heading to the station and I was gonna top up my ez link card at the control station but the Jimmy complained bout the long queue so we went to one of the top-up machines instead. I only had my $50 note and after slotting it into the machine I realized it won't give me any change and I didn't want to top up $50 into my card so I decided to take it out and go back to the counter. And God knows why Jimmy suddenly said "Come I show you!" and took my card from me and put it back in, slotted the note in and pressed OK and he looked at me with a satisfied look on his face "There, can already!". I didn't even have time to scream stop! I think only after he saw the look on my face did he realize I never intended to top up $50 into my card. Haha big UH-OHs written all over his face.

Me: I err accidentally topped up $50 into my card. Can I take some out?
Mr. Control Station: I'm sorry you can't withdraw any money from your ez link card.
Me: Err... please? :(
Mr. Control Station: No we can't I'm sorry. But you can use the money inside to buy a macdonald's meal.

I have such a genius friend. Ok so I know he was only trying to help haha :)

That about sums up my day. Mom enjoyed the strawberry cheesecake I brought back for her!
