I swear tday's one of the most disastrous but hilarious days of my life! You'll laugh for sure, at my stupidity and all haha. Ok here goes,
Ok so I got the job and everything. Was happy tho it questioned my conscience. I am just an O lvl grad but the agent sorta told a few lies bout that(I was s'posed to be a degree holder). Well I thought and thought bout it and I finally thought, hey! I'll just act stupid ok, just go and teach the boy and cross my fingers that the dad wouldn't ask bout my qualifications. But if he did I would just look nonchalent and tell the truth. But alas, he did ask! And I didn't lie(I couldn't lie I am just bad at it pfft) so I told him the truth. So now I'm just waiting for his call that'll go something along the lines of "you're fired." Haha.
I felt stupid and dumb and dumb! I'll never do such a thing again. Accepting the assignment in the first place was wrong/wrong/wrong. Altho I'm not out to con anyone and I took the assignment seriously, the fact that someone had to lie for me to get that pay just stinks. So now I'm happy and very relieved :)
Travis was a dear tho. He's really friendly and he asks a mil and one questions! Btw, Jem and Yumei accompanied me to find the house and to 'check things out to make sure I'll be safe' with me. How professional huh haha but huggggggs I love them hehe. Halfway through tuition they even tried sneaking pictures of me and Travis in the room through the window panels just to see what was going on in the room.
The panels were kinda high up so they had to raise their cameras. And you know Y's Sony flashes a red light before every snap. It went something like this.
Me after explaining to him the words 'past' and 'pass':
"So now you know the difference between-"
Travis who was looking out of his window(hopefully listening and not daydreaming) sddenly points at the window looking horrified:
"A red light! I saw a red light at the window there! Like a card and a red light"
I turn over and look at the window.
Me: "What red light?"
Travis looking really scared: "It was there I saw it!"
Me feeling a few goosebumps by then and trying to make sense of it: "Uh, a card and red light, ok... Uh was there a hand or something?"
Travis: "YA YA I think so! Got a hand!"
Me: "Ok I'll go look."
I tiptoe and try to look out but I couldn't see anything(too short) so I climb onto my chair and peek outside. I see lots of laundry.
Me trying to sound reassured(to both him and myself haha): "There's nothing what. Maybe some people are just trying to be funny."
Indeed. I actually sort of suspected Y and J were outside and up to something but then again I couldn't think of what that could produce red light and I got kinda spooked. What's more at dinner Matthew was talking bout hungry ghosts :( Anw yup no ghosts just some paparazzi haha :)
And here's another:
Me trying to give him an example of how a hard material cannot be easily scratched:
"You know what's the hardest material on earth?"
Travis suddenly gets very excited: "YA! Kritchin(or smth along this pronunciation)!"
Me: "Huh? Nono, it's diamond. You know diamond-"
Travis: "No! It's Kritchin!"
Me: "What's K-kree-chin?"
Travis: "Pokemon one! I play pokemon they say one, kritchin is the strongest!"
I won't deny it's been quite an eye-opener tho. Bye Travis, haha.
And much thanks to Jemmy and Yummay for accompanying me and being all concerned bout me. And trying to cheer me up after the whole flop. Was sad for awhile but now I'm ok! You guys rock my world.
And thank you Jemmy for the shirrrrt you're so sweet I am happy yappy!
It's time to study really hard for my exams which is in about 2 weeks. Then I'm gonna have all the fun in the world I swear.
Night :)
