7th day of the lunar new year. mass dinner celebration thing at the cc just a minute's walk from my home. im lovin my neighbourhood. although there were lots of people at the dinner but it just had this cosy feel bout the whole thing. and the small quiet street and big big trees all around. lovely. anyway, we shared the table with this friendly family and two cute aunties. the host was talking about today being everybody's birthday or something. how come i never knew? i wonder..

my dad was especially chatty tonight, but yeah, it did make the whole night more lively i guess. we realized that the other family lived at the same block as us. what a coincidence. but how come we've never met before! my dad exclaims. the mother pointed at me and said i've seen your daughter before. oh.. no wonder she seemed so familiar. the food was okay. we shook hands and even got ang baos from mp irene ng. haha. the aunty also said we looked like a happy family. we do? haha. no doubt my dad showers my mom with attention and love everywhere they are though. it's amazing sometimes. they practically see each other 24/7. at work, lunch, weekends.. and fights are so so rare though there are disagreements sometimes. they're two people with different personalities but made for each other. that's some solid love i say. so anyway the dinner ended with all the happy full people and my dad and his new buddy talked all the way home.

im now just doing up a draft of that debate speech i've gotta make next friday. like whaaat, our school doesn't have enough debators. my biggest worry is that'll i'll just screw up everything and ya, embarrass our school and team. aw man. but.. that won't happen. i know heidi's real excited bout this and knowing her, that's the reason she'll be smiling and be hyper about for the next week if you see her doing so. for me, yeah kinda like the adrenaline it gives me but at the same time, stresss.. me, heidi and jiajuin. what an odd team.. :)
